1. Description of the IoP needs that will be satisfied by the fulfillment of the public contract
The contracting authority, whose main activity is to conduct research and development in the physical sciences, is the recipient of a grant for the project "ELI - EXTREME LIGHT INFRASTRUCTURE - Phase 2 " implemented under the Research, Development and Education Operational Programme (hereinafter the "Project"). The project is to build a laser research centre and its laser technologies infrastructures. The objectives of the project and the binding technical descriptions of the project are further defined, and are annexed to the grant decision. The subject of the public tender is the purchase of beam transport mirrors for the L3 laser beam lines.
2. Short description of the purpose of the public contract
The purpose of the contract is the purchase of beam transport mirrors for the L3 laser beam lines:
1. Flat mirrors standing vertical (M)
2. Flat mirrors for periscopes (Pup: mirror looking up when the beam is coming from above, Pdown: mirror looking down when the beam is going down)
3. Beam splitters (BS)
For each type of component, there will be “s” or “p” polarized components.
3.Description of the links between the purpose of the public contract and the IoP needs.
The requested device is necessary for the realization of the ELI-Beamlines project.
