a) Description of the IoP needs that will be satisfied by the fulfillment of the public contract
The Institute of Physics (IoP) - whose main activity is to conduct research and development in the physical sciences field - is the recipient of a grant for the project "ELI: Extreme Light Infrastructure" which is implemented under the Operational Program for Innovation Research and Development (hereinafter the "Project"). The project is to build a laser research center and its laser technologies infrastructures. The objectives of the project and the binding technical descriptions of the project are further defined, and are annexed to the grant decision. The subject of the public tender is to provide software development support for the Control System Software Group of the ELI facility.
b) Short description of the purpose of the public contract
The purpose of the contract is the purchase of delay lines, motion system equipment and related optomechanical equipment for a laser beam transport system. This includes:
• Delay lines (fs precision, 300 mm, vacuum compatible)
• Motorized Linear Actuators (vacuum compatible)
• Controllers and Drivers for motorized equipment
• Optomechanical equipment for optical components (4”)
c) Description of the links between the purpose of the public contract and the IoP needs.
The requested services are necessary for the realization of the ELI-Beamlines project.
